I will find any occasion to bake something, birthday, new house, its Friday, its Monday... doesn't seem to matter, I'll find the occasion. This time however it was definitely cause for cake as workmate got married secretly a couple of weeks ago to his partner of 18 years. Now if that's not worth a cake, nothing is.
My workmate loves chocolate cake, so in spirit of the occasion I decided to make a chocolate beetroot cake with a rich chocolate icing.
I hope he likes it!
